A social media influencer and entrepreneur, Cynthia Lowo, popularly known as CY4LUV, has said that a woman’s value and integrity should not be tied to her marital status.
In a chat with Saturday Beats, she said, “I always challenge the traditional belief that a woman must be married to be respected or considered to have value.
“A woman’s value or integrity is not inherently tied to her marital status. Each person’s worth is defined by a multitude of factors, including their character, actions, achievements, and how they treat others. I recognise the fact that marriage can be meaningful for many, but it is not a prerequisite for personal worth or societal respect.”
Describing social media as a powerful tool that has redefined connection and opportunity in the modern age, the online influencer said, “Social media is a land of opportunities that has brought the world closer to us. It is kind of accessible to everyone. It’s not just a platform but a core part of my success and business operations.”
Sharing her code of conduct for navigating the digital space, Lowo, who sits atop two businesses— Signature Glow and Style Lux Cave—said, “Share what you want out there in a way that you won’t feel the need to explain yourself after. And don’t share what you don’t want anyone to see, because once it’s out, you’ll keep explaining non-stop.”
