Nigerian afrobeats music singer and producer, CKay
Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Chukwuka Ekweani, popularly known as CKay, has ended his recording agreement with Warner Music South Africa, marking the close of a pivotal chapter in his music career.
The development was confirmed in a statement sent to PUNCH Online in the early hours of Friday.
CKay, whose global hits like ‘Love Nwantiti’ and ‘Emiliana’ have amassed billions of streams, described the decision not to renew his contract as both “mutual and strategic.”
“Every journey has a beginning and an end, and my journey with Warner Music South Africa was a very important one, which I’m grateful for. Now it’s time for me to explore new energy and new horizons,” CKay added.
